My Story

My most treasured memories are filled with the smell of sunscreen, salt water and the magical feeling of sun kissed skin. Spending all day in the water being dunked by massive waves (which seemed much bigger as a small child!) I am incredibly lucky to have been raised on one of the best shorelines in Australia. The Gold Coast features some of the best beaches in Queensland and is home to a world surfing reserve, stretching from Burleigh Point through to Snapper Rocks on the NSW border.  I feel so blessed that I have been able to raise my two beautiful children Taj and Bodhi in this magical place.

I believe it is our responsibility as humans on this beautiful planet we call home, to be as sustainable as possible and to do all we can to preserve our oceans and the marine life found within it. 

This is why I have chosen to produce our 2022 collection with REPREVE, a fabric so soft and buttery made from plastic bottles – one of our oceans greatest threats. Production of REPREVE® offsets using new petroleum during manufacturing, uses 45% less energy, emits over 30% fewer greenhouse gases and uses 20% less water. 

Gypsea Soul has been hand crafted on the beautiful island of Bali. We receive all shipments plastic free from our ethical manufacturers. All our packaging is made from corn starch and is 100% biodegradable. All orders are then sent out in mailer bags made from 100% biodegradable and compostable materials

Gypsea Soul collaborates with Australian artists on our exclusive prints. Gorgeous and bright our prints have been digitally printed using water-free techniques. Digital printing has become the better option as it uses non-toxic inks, no inks are discarded down drains and no washing is required after printing.

Who is a Gypsea Soul?

She is the feeling of falling in love in for the first time, she is the feeling of hope and innocent wonder. She is the feeling of butterflies, of having faith in something bigger than us. She is those everyday magic moments - watching the early morning sunrise, a cool breeze, sun kissed skin, a friendly smile, a warm embrace, that first kiss.

I have not finished shaping Gypsea Soul into an eco friendly, ethical swimsuit brand yet. But I have embraced this challenge with all my heart and passion. Thank you for being a part of it.
